Where do we start with a patient?
We begin with a case history, symptom survey and diet history. These help determine deficiencies, toxicities and how much work is ahead for you and should be the starting point for any nutritional program.
However, if the picture is not yet clear and we need more information, we use a hair mineral analysis, saliva test and questionnaires.
A hair mineral analysis evaluates ratios, toxic metals, deficient minerals and helps evaluate whether your oxidation type is slow or fast. We use this to determine which saliva test to perform and to prioritize findings.
If this is our starting point for a nutritional program, it will include diet handouts, lifestyle changes and a recommended nutritonal and herbal protocol.
Imaging / Screening Services
In our Pelican Rapids Clinic, we offer complete and up to the date X-ray services. These help us in evaluating the structural integrity and alignment of the spine and pelvis.
We also offer MyoVison screenings to help us look for a misalignment of the vertebrae. When a spinal bone (vertebrae) is misaligned (subluxated), spinal nerves can become irritated leading to many negative effects. A spinal examination through surface electromyography (SEMG) is used to evaluate electric activity your muscles release when contracting, more commonly known as muscle tension. It is similar to an EKG which measures heart muscle activity. Is it painful? Not at all. It is totally non-invasive and does not cause irritation or pain.
Modalities
We offer a range of modalities including Massage Therapy, Ultrasound, Traction, and Electrotherapy. Our electrotherapy units include micro current, TENS and Low Volt muscle stimulators that are portable and intended for home use.
